Functional Skills Level 2

Here at Pass Functional Skill’s Functional Skills Level 2 site, we aim to ensure that you are fully informed regarding our services. This includes knowing exactly what Functional Skills Level 2 is, which will be what we will be discussing today. 

In essence, it is an Ofqual approved qualification that is the equivalent to a Pass (Grade C or Level 4) in GCSE Maths and English. Especially useful for those who do not already have a passing grade in either GCSE subject. As they may later be required the grade for a number of reasons, including:

• College
• University
• Career progression
• Apprenticeships
• And other course routes

As it is government-approved, it will be guaranteed to be accepted by the above groups. Unlike say an overseas degree that could possibly not be accepted by them. 

Displaying that you have the qualification, even to an entry-level job will show that you have a good understanding of the subjects and basic knowledge. Giving you a better chance of getting that job over another person. 

As its equivalent to a PASS, you may argue that it will be easier than the GCSE. It will take significantly less time in order to take your Functional skills exam (GCSEs can take up to 2 years, which FS can take days). Functional Skills Level 2 also offers more flexibility, as it can be taken all year round (GCSE exams can only be taken 2 times a year). As well as it will be taken front he comfort of your own home, so no need to travel anywhere!
